LITTLE LAMBS & IVY HOSTS ITS 12TH SPRING ART SHOW
Please join us this Thursday, May 23rdfrom 6:00–7:30 p.m. for our annual Spring Art Show. The halls of LL&I along with Wesley Hall will be filled with excited LL&I children, their parents, grandparents and extended family. SUMC is blessed to have such a dedicated group of teachers that put their whole heart into caring and nurturing these wonderful children. Along with the many responsibilities the teachers accomplish during the day, they always find time to “create” and produce fabulous art projects with the children in their care. Since the majority of children who attend are very young, it is just delightful to see what a foot, hand or palm print can be turned into! All SUMC members are invited to attend and join in on the fun. This is truly an event not to be missed!
HARLEY AND JAN BENNETT’S FAREWELL
Our beloved Harley and Jan Bennett, who have been a part of the SUM family since May 1971, are moving to Maryland to be closer to family. We are planning to send them off with blessings on Sunday, May 26th. We will be collecting love
letters, stories, inspirations, vignettes, artwork, quilts or anything you would like to give them. All of these things can be about them, to them, how they have affected your life or something beautiful to share with them. Whatever you decide to give them needs to fit into an 81⁄2”x11” page protector. We will present the notebook of love letters to them on Sunday, May 26th. Pastor Gene told us we need to write more love letters so here is your chance. Please send electronic versions to Susan Samuel at email@example.com or you can put them in the large envelope on the piano in Wesley Hall. All love letters must be received by May 24th or earlier, if possible. If you have any questions, please email Susan Samuel at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you.
