The first event, Pastor Panel: How We Came To Our Understandingwill be held on Sunday, June 23rd from 11am-1pm and Monday evening, June 24th from 7-9pm in the sanctuary. The second event, The Basics of Human Sexuality & LGBTQwill be held on Sunday, June 30th from 11am-1pm and Monday evening, July 1st from 7-9pm in the sanctuary. We are offering two dates for each event so everyone will have the opportunity to attend. Lunch will be offered on the two Sundays and childcare will be available.
After organizing the offices, there were a number of books and pictures left by both Pastor Woody and Pastor Peter. These are available on the stage in Wesley Hall and are free for the taking.
SUMMER CHURCH SCHOOL
Church School continues most Sundays this summer for children ages 3-10 years. Children will meet in Creative Cove after the children’s moment. Hope to see you soon!
DAYS FOR GIRLS UPDATE – This week Pastor Ken, in Kenya, and two Days for Girls educators will reach three schools and an orphanage with Days for Girls kits. Some of the money used for these kits came from SUM donations given in the Easter Offering with the target of distributing 500 kits to girls and educating 900 children. Thank you for your donation!
DAYS FOR GIRLS OPPORTUNITY – We need more people to join the work of Days for Girls other than our workshops. We are looking for volunteers to help with planning future projects for Days for Girls as well as getting a few people to join forces to get kits to more schools in Kenya. It’s easier than you think. Please come to our meeting on June 26thin the Annex at 7:00 p.m. to find out how you can help. For more information, call Jan Baker at 860-242-8620.
