We’re sharing SUM love by turning periods into pathways.
Girls in many countries stay home from school one week per month due to a simple lack of hygiene products. The Days for Girls Simsbury team works to make sure that girls around the world have the opportunity to get out of poverty by staying in school. Our volunteers make sustainable menstrual kits that, along with appropriate health education materials, are distributed to schools, missions, and clinics around the world. Some of our members have traveled to deliver kits and to help start local enterprises in Ghana and Uganda. We have helped over 1,000 girls since we began in 2015! To learn more, visit Days for Girls here.
