Church School
Hello & welcome to SUM Church School! Your children will feel welcomed, supported and cared for in our SUM Church School. We follow UMC Safe Sanctuary guidelines.
Summer Church School:
During the summer, all ages (PreK - 8th grade) will meet in the Barn for our Sunday School time. We use the summer to focus more on playing games and fellowship time, instead of lessons. We will be running an every-other-Sunday schedule. Here are the dates we will be meeting (Nursery runs every week): June 30 at 9:30, July 14 at 9:30, July 28 at 9:30, and August 11 at 9:30. We will be taking off Aug 18 & Aug 25, leading up to the start of the new school year.
September through June: Our classrooms are separated into these five groups, which meet most Sundays:
-Nursery – up to age 3
-Pre-K
-Kindergarten through 3rdgrade
-4th and 5th grade
-6th, 7th and 8th grade
-
In order to support each child’s unique learning style, Pre-K- 5th grade rotate weekly between classrooms each Sunday. Each classroom has a different style of learning;
-Art Room
-Games and video Room
-Science and food Room
-Godly Play/Storytelling Room
