Lenten Spiritual Journey: Abide

You will notice generous blank space on each page. That space is intentional. It is there for a word, a sentence, a prayer, or even silence. You do not need to write much. A single word, a brief note, or one honest prayer is enough.

If you miss a day, nothing is lost. This is not a program to complete but a path you are always free to return to. ABIDE is about practicing return—again and again—to the God who is already staying with us.

This Lent, may we slow down just enough to notice:
We are already held, already welcomed, already loved.

You are invited to walk this journey, at your own pace, and in your own way.

Pastor DH

Dear Simsbury UMC family,

This Lent, we are invited into a spiritual journey called ABIDE.
It is not about doing more or trying harder, but about learning again how to remain in Christ in the midst of ordinary, busy lives.

Each day offers a simple rhythm. You open the page, pause for a moment, and take a breath. You read a short Scripture and a few gentle lines of reflection. Rather than rushing toward answers, you are invited to stay with what is true in you today—and to place that truth quietly in God’s care.
