Annual Church-Wide Pulse Survey
It’s Time!
Annual Church-Wide Pulse Survey
To remain a vital and relevant church, it is essential to gauge the feelings of our faith community. Keeping in touch with the many voices of SUM is no small task. Pastor Gene, Deacon Deb, and the SUM church leadership keep their ears to the ground. In 2022, we added an annual church-wide pulse survey as one more way to check in with everyone.
A pulse survey does just what the name implies. It collects information so we can check the pulse of SUM. We know that clergy and staff can serve best when we have effective information. Committee and ministry leaders can set direction and make good decisions when they understand what is on your mind.
We ask the same five brief questions each year. Doing so allows us to track trends. A trend that emerged early on was accessibility. Your voice matters. We are actively engaged with SUM Trustees, the town, and an architect to address this important need. We reported on the Accessibility Project at the last Church Council meeting. Here is a link to the minutes.
Last year, we added a question about virtual church to understand our online worship audience better. This year, you will have a chance to review the many ways you can be involved at SUM and then share where you may wish to participate.
It will take three minutes, we promise. Please offer your name so that we can address your concerns directly. We will report back on high-level insights and trends in a follow-up Messenger article.
Please click here to take the survey. The survey will close on Wednesday, April 17th. You do not need to retake it if you have already completed the survey via an eblast or another link.
Thank you for your participation.
