Scripts & Insights on Faith & Aging

An engaging playreading for all ages*

Looking for a meaningful way to spend a part of your Saturday afternoon in October with friends and family? Join us for a special playreading exploring themes on aging, written by Dennis Winkleblack, a retired United Methodist pastor, and performed by local actors.

In addition to his pastoral work, he is a gifted essayist, author of several novels and short stories, and, more recently, a playwright with several of his plays performed at Seabury Retirement Community. His short, insightful plays delve into the complexities of aging with a blend of humor, poignancy, and keen observation.

On Saturday, October 26th, at 2 pm in Wesley Hall, he will present a reading of one of his plays about aging, loneliness, family, and compassion. After the playreading, participants will have an opportunity to discuss the play and reflect on how our faith shapes our understanding of this important topic. It’s an excellent opportunity to come together, share insights, and deepen our connections within the community. We can’t wait to see you there!
