SUM of My Favorite Things (sung to the tune of My Favorite Things)
Hopmeadow glistens and sparkles with snowflakes,
December frost makes our hands and our feet ache.
Enter the doors to our church known as SUM,
Where everything thaws and is no longer numb.
Poinsettias bloom and the bells they do ring,
These are a few of my favorite things.
When the snow flies,
When the wind blows,
When I feel forlorn,
I simply remember my favorite things,
Our Savior will soon be born.
All of the shopping and prep is now done,
Time to unwrap and unwind for some fun.
Each child eagerly waits for the day,
Parents remind them it’s Jesus’ birthday.
Red and green packages tied up with strings,
These are a few of my favorite things.
When the snow flies,
When the wind blows,
When I feel forlorn,
I simply remember my favorite things,
Our Savior will soon be born.
