Welcome SUM’s New Trustee Chair - Steve Langin

Meet Steve Langin, A Committed volunteer at Simsbury United Methodist Church

Steve Langin, a Litchfield native, found his way to Simsbury after marrying his wife, Cheryl. With a strong reputation for its school system, Simsbury became the perfect place for them to raise their family, which includes their two children, Emily and Rudy.

After a successful 38-year career in corporate finance, Steve retired as CFO in 2019 and has embraced the joys of retirement, including spending time with family, getting back into golf, and traveling. He and Cheryl joined Simsbury United Methodist Church (SUM) nearly 20 years ago, where Steve has actively volunteered, serving on committees and as an usher.

His commitment to SUM stems from a desire to give back to a community that has provided so much to him and his family. Steve values the church's welcoming nature and dreams of seeing its membership double, ensuring that the SUM church family continues to thrive as a vibrant place of worship.

Thank you, Steve, for volunteering for the Trustee Committee and accepting the Trustees’ vote to make you chair as a sign of their confidence in your leadership.
