Welcome Our New Stewardship Chair, Greg Freidline!
Please give a warm welcome and thank you to Greg the next time you see him (and his son, Asher)! Greg has gracefully agreed to head our Stewardship team this year, and we are very thankful for his time. Greg is an “IT guy” at the University of Hartford, and he loves data. When Deacon Deb and I met with him we learned that his EdD dissertation is about the ethical use of “gray data.” Then we learned what gray data is – ask him about it when you get a chance – it’s fascinating! SUM will benefit from Greg’s ability to track trends to see how we might better serve SUM and grow our church family.
Greg was warmly welcomed by Deb Reid in the office, as well as the Finance Team, and he is looking forward to collaborating with everyone. Here is just one idea of Greg’s, “I do think something like a QR code that we can use for multiple purposes, certainly giving, [is worth exploring, and] I think it would be interesting to take attendance again.”
Watch for more frequent communications from Greg and Clayton on all things finance related.
